Gingerbread Cookie Mix

Layer this mix in a quart jar , decorate, add directions and Voila! A very festive homemade gift!

Yields 1 quart mix

2 Cup s all purpose flour

1/2 Tsp baking soda

1 Tsp baking powder

1/2 Tsp salt

1 Tsp ground ginger

2 Tsp ground cinnamon

1/2 Tsp ground cloves

1 Tsp ground allspice

1 Cup granulated sugar

1/2 Cup dark brown sugar

Mix flour and spices. Layer in jar with sugars.

Directions: Add 1/2 cup softened butter, 3/4 cup molasses, 1 egg and 1 tsp apple cider vinegar to mix. Form dough and refrigerate two hours.

Heat oven to 375

Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thick, cut with gingerbread cutter (you can also attach to the jar). Bake on parchment lined cookie sheet 8-10 minutes.

Cool on wire rack.
