Soft and delicious Honey Wheat Bread with a hint of sweetness!

Ingredients and Variations

Ingredients: Bread flour, wheat flour, instant yeast, honey, salt, water and unrefined coconut oil.

Variations: Oatmeal can be added in and on top toasted chopped walnuts can also be added for flavor as well as raisins.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup warm water, filtered

  • 2 1/4 tsp instant yeast or 1 pkg

  • 1/4 cup honey

  • 2 1/2-3 cups bread flour

  • 1 1/2-2 cups whole wheat flour

  • 2 tbsp coconut oil or butter, softened

  • 2 tsp salt

Directions

  • Mix all together until a dough forms and knead for 7 minutes.
  • Cover and let rise for 2 hours in a warm area.
  • Heat oven to 425°.
  • divide dough in half, roll each into a rectangle and roll up into a loaf, tuck ends in and place into a greased pan, seam side down. Bake at 425° for 40 minutes, cool completely before cutting.
