Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp 2 Butter

  • 1 1 Onion, diced

  • 3 stalks 3 Celery, chopped

  • 4 4 Carrots, sliced

  • 8 cloves 8 Garlic, minced

  • 5 sprigs 5 Thyme

  • 1 1/2 – 3 tsp 1 1/2 – 3 Fresh sage, chopped

  • 1 1/2 – 3 tsp 1 1/2 – 3 Fresh rosemary, chopped

  • 1 tbsp 1 Fresh dill, chopped

  • 1 tbsp 1 Fresh parsley, chopped

  • 1 tbsp 1 Ground turmeric

  • 2 2 Lemons, juice and zest

  • 1 qt 1 Chicken

  • 16 cup 16 Chicken bone broth

  • 3 3 Large eggs. beaten with 1/4 cup water

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  • In a large pot, cook onions, celery, carrots and garlic in butter 5 minutes. Put in broth, sage, thyme, turmeric, rosemary, chicken and salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, cover turn heat down to simmer for 45 minutes.
  • Then add lemon, zest, juice, eggs and parsley and dill. Salt and pepper to taste.
  • Cook up noodles or rice on the side to serve your soup over if you like or with a side of fresh bread!
