1tbsp.pretzel salt or large flake sea salt *optional
Directions
Mix salt and baking soda in with flour. Cut cold butter into flour. Pour in buttermilk and mix until a stiff dough is formed. Fold dough on counter 6 – 8 times.
Cover and let rest 20 minutes.
Heat oven to 375°.
Using a rolling pin on a lightly floured surface, roll dough out as thin as you can get it. Cut into squares using a cookie cutter, knife, bench scraper or pie wheel. Place crackers on a cookie sheet and using the tines of a fork, dock each cracker 3 times. Sprinkle with salt if desired.
Bake @ 375° for 8 minutes or until the edges start turning golden.
