Basic Hot Cocoa Mix

This basic mix is delicious, but you can jazz it up by adding crushed peppermints, mini chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, crushed toffee, crushed butterscotch candies, different flavored coffee creamers……. Great for gift giving or to keep in your cupboard at the ready!

Ingredients and Variations

Ingredients: Unsweetened cocoa powder, granulated sugar, powdered coffee creamer and salt.

Variations: Ant sugar substitute can replace sugar, A flavored powdered coffee creamer can be used (such as peppermint), crushed candies can be added for flavor such as butterscotch and peppermints, freeze dried marshmallows can be added as well. Spices can also be added such as cinnamon and cayenne for a Mexican cocoa.

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa

  • 0 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/2 cup powdered coffee cream (plain or flavored)

  • Pinch of salt

Directions

  • Mix all together. Store in airtight container.
  • To use, add 2 Tbsp of mix to a cup of hot water or milk.
    Spike if you like!! Peppermint and butterscotch schnapps make a yummy addition!
