Beef Cobbler

- Beef Filling
5 cups Water
1/2 cup Thrive Life Espagnole (savory beef gravy) mix
1 cup Freeze dried beef cubes
1/8 cup Dehydrated carrots
1/8 cup Freeze dried chopped onion
1/4 cup Freeze dried celery
1/2 cup Freeze dried potato dices
1/2 cup Freeze dried mushroom slices
1/4 cup Freeze dried peas
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Pepper
1 tsp dried parsley
1 tsp Onion powder
- Cobbler Topping
1 1/2 cups All purpose flour
3/4 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Baking soda
2 tsp Baking powder
1/4 cup Butter, cold and cubed
3/4 cup Whole milk
Directions
- Heat oven to 350°
- In an iron skillet or oven safe skillet add all ingredients and bring to a boil. Turn the heat down and simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Make cobbler topping: In a bowl whisk together flour, salt, parsley, baking soda and baking powder. Cut in butter until coarse crumbles. Carefully stir in milk making sure not to over mix!
- Drop by spoonfuls in top of filling.
- Bake @ 350° 25 – 30 minutes.
