Cheddar Cheese Puffs

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups 1 1/2 Sharp cheddar cheese, shredded & room temp

  • 1 1 Large egg white, room temp

  • 1/4 tsp 1/4 Salt

  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 Cream of tarter

  • 1/8 tsp 1/8 Cayenne pepper

  • 2 tbsp 2 Dijon mustard

  • 2 tbsp 2 Butter

  • 6 slices 6 Bread

Directions

  • Set oven to broil.
  • Whisk egg white with cream of tarter, salt and cayenne until frothy. Stir in cheese until well mixed. Set aside.
  • Cut 24 rounds of bread from bread slices, 1 1/2 inch.
  • Lightly butter the top of each round then spread a thin layer of dijon over the butter. Mound cheese mixture on top of each round, about 1 1/2 tsp for each.
  • Broil for 3 – 4 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  • Serve right away.
