Chocolate Salami

Chocolate Salami is an easy and delicious candy you can make in a variety of different ways! Add whatever you like and make it yours!

Ingredients and Variations

Ingredients: Semi sweet chocolate chips, butter, heavy cream, coffee liqueur, salt, marshmallows, Danish butter cookies, Speculoos cookies, toasted pecans, dried cranberries and confectioners sugar.

Variations: festive sprinkles can be added as well as candies, any dry fruit can be added as well as your choice of cookies and toasted nuts. Add in some spice if you like! Skip the spirits if you like and add an extract or cany oil in any flavor you desire. Also a teaspoon of espresso powder can be added for a more coffee flavor if desired. Use your favorite chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Chopped chocolate or chips

  • 6 tbsp heavy cream

  • 1/4 cup butter, unsalted

  • 1 tbsp coffee liqueur or 1 tsp extract

  • 1 pinch salt

  • 2 1/2 cup chopped cookies, nuts, fruit, dried mini marshmallows, mixed

  • 1/4 cup confectioners sugar

Directions

  • Chop the cookies, nuts and dried fruit of your choice and mix well, but leave it a little chunky, do not turn into dust!
  • Melt chocolate , butter, cream and liqueur in a microwave safe bowl in 30 second intervals, stirring after every 30 seconds until melted and completely smooth.
  • Stir in cookie mix and scoop into wax paper and roll up carefully, then put roll onto plastic wrap and roll up tight twisting ends opposite ways. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
  • When salami is set, unwrap and dust the rolls in confectioners sugar and slice in 1/4 – 1/2 inch slices. Store in an airtight container and these will keep for a month.
