Cream of Potato Soup Mix

This Cream od Potato Soup Mix is as delicious as it is customizable! Madd what you like and make it your own! These soups make great gifts also great for sending with the kids off to college or comfort for a sick friend.

Ingredients and Variations

Ingredients: Instant Potato flakes, Chicken bouillon powder, onion powder, garlic powder, dry milk powder, butter powder, dried parsley, freeze dried green onions, salt and pepper.

Variations: Add dried dill and lemon powder or cheddar cheese powder, sour cream powder and bacon bits for a loaded potato soup version. Add freeze dried celery and carrots for extra bulk. Add cheddar cheese powder and freeze dried broccoli. Add heavy cream powder for a creamier soup, change up your herbs and spices, add what you like. Add any veggies you like or have on hand. Add in dry shredded potatoes (hash browns) for more potato and more texture.

Store in an airtight container and this will keep for a year!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Instant potato flakes

  • 2 tsp powdered chicken bouillon

  • 1/2 cup dry milk powder

  • 1/4 cup freeze dried green onions

  • 2 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp pepper

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tbsp dried parsley

  • 2 tbsp Nutritional yeast (I use Braggs)

  • 1/2 cup cheese powder * optional

  • 1/4 cup bacon bits * optional

  • 1/2 cup dried vegetables * optional

Directions

  • whisk all together well and store in an airtight container for up to one year.
  • To use: Add 1/4 – 1/2 cup mix to 1 cup of boiling water, lower heat and simmer for 3 minutes.
  • Soup with cheese sauce added
