As festive as they are amazing!! And full of galicy deliciousness!!
Dough
1 1/2 Cups warm water
4 1/2 Tsps or 2 pkg. of instant yeast
3 Tsp sugar
1 1/2 Tsp salt
1 Tsp garlic powder
2 Tbsp olive oil
4 – 4 1/2 Cup bread flour
In a mixing bowl add warm water, yeast and sugar. Stir it up a bit and let sit for 10 minutes.
When yeast is bubbly, add the rest of the ingredients and knead 5 – 6 minutes.
Make into a ball and put into n oiled bowl, cover and let rise until doubled in size, sbout 45 minutes.
Garlic Butter
1/4 Cup salted butter
1/4 Cup olive oil
5 Cloves garlic, minced
1/4 Tsp sat
1 Tsp italian seasoning
Add to a small sauce pan and heat theough on low heat until it starts to bubble. Move off heat and cool.
To Assemble
Prepare fillings by chopping or grating mozzarella or any other cheese, chop any topping you like, such as onions, mushrooms, green peppers, olives, cooked sausage, pepperoni, cooked ground beef……..
*Here is a tip: Saute your toppings with a tsp of olive oil, a clove of garlic (smashed), salt and pepper for 3 – 5 minutes and let them cool. It makes a better pizza filling!
Heat your oven to 400 degrees f.
Line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
Grab yourself a piece of dough the size of a golf ball, flatten into a tiny pizza, put some cheese in the middle, add toppings roll into a ball pinching the opening to seal. Place on prepared baking sheet creating Christmas tree shape.
Brush a third of the oil over your tree.
Bake for 8 minutes.
Pull out of the oven and brush with another third of the oil.
Bake for another 8 minutes.
Pull out and brush with the rest of the oil.
Sprinkle with parm, fresh herbs, red bell pepper, fresh rosemary….. Anything you like.
Serve with warm pizza sauce, alfredo sauce, garlic sauce……..
