Honey Garlic Chicken Thighs (Freezer Friendly)

Honey Garlic Chicken Thighs are super delicious and freezer friendly, stock your freeze today! These thighs are so versatile, they can be grilled, baked, slow cooked or air fried! Add some veggies and you have dinner! This chicken stays super moist due to the mayo in the marinade.

Ingredients and Variations

Ingredients: Chicken thighs, mayo, lime zest and juice, honey, fresh garlic, garlic powder, soy sauce, white wine vinegar, onion powder, Chinese Five Spice, ground ginger, oil, brown sugar, Sriracha and salt.

Variations: Chicken legs or breast can also be used, Turkey can replace chicken, a sugar substitute can replace honey and brown sugar if desired, red pepper flakes or cayenne can be added for more heat if desired.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs

  • 1/2 cup mayo

  • 2 limes, juiced and zested

  • 2 tbsp rice wine vinegar

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 6 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp onion powder

  • 1/4 cup honey

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp ground ginger or 2 tbsp fresh grated

  • 2 tbsp oil

Directions

  • put chicken into a gallon freezer bag or container with lid.
  • Mix all other ingredients in bowl for marinade and pour over chicken. remove air, label and freeze for uyp to 6 months or refrigerate for at least 2 hours and bake at 375° for 25- 30 minutes until juices run clear and the inside temp reaches 175°.
  • Garnish with sliced green onions, serve with rice and veggies.
  • To use from freezer: pull from freezer and place in refrigerator the day before to defrost. Grill, slow cook on high for 4 – 6 hours, air fry at 375° for 25 minutes or bake at 375° for 25- 30 minutes until juices run clear and the inside temp reaches 175°.
