Hot Honey Chicken Sliders

A little sweet with a little heat! Perfect for Game day or any other for that matter, this hot honey chicken can be served on large buns or over rice.

Ingredients and Variations

Ingredients: Chicken breast, Sriracha, honey, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. homemade dinner rolls, mayo, mustard, Havarti cheese, cowboy candy, pickled onions, butter, onions.

Variations: Dark meat chicken can be used or turkey or pork, use your favorite cheese, pepper jack is great for these, use the toppings of your choice. Use Hawaiian Rolls to save time!

A little sweet with a hint of heat chicken sliders

Ingredients

  • Hot Honey Chicken
  • 3 3 large chicken breast

  • 1 tsp 1 salt

  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 pepper

  • 1 tsp 1 onion powder

  • 2 tsp 2 garlic powder

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 honey

  • 1/4 cup 1/4 Sriracha

  • Mayo Sauce
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 Mayo

  • 2 tbsp 2 hot sweet grainy mustard

  • Butter Topping
  • 4 tbsp 4 butter, melted

  • 1/4 cup 1/4 hot sauce

  • 1 tbsp 1 honey

  • 1 tbsp 1 Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tbsp 1 hot sweet grainy mustard

  • 1/4 cup 1/4 finely chopped onion

  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 salt

  • 1/4 tsp 1/4 pepper

  • Everything Else
  • 6 slices 6 Havarti cheese

  • 1 pkg 1 Hawaiian Rolls (or dinner rolls)

  • 1/2 pint 1/2 Candied Jalapenos ( Cowboy Candy)

  • 1/2 pint 1/2 pickled onions

Directions

  • Put chicken breast, seasonings, Sriracha and honey into a slow cooker, set on high for 4 hours. Shred chicken when done and leave in juice until ready to use.
  • Mix mayo and mustard, set aside until time to assemble.
  • Mix melted butter with the rest of the ingredients.
  • Heat oven to 375°
  • Assemble: Cut rolls in half crosswise. Put bottom half in a 9 x 13 baking dish and spread with mayo sauce, layer the cheese over the mayo. Cover with shredded chicken, top with onions and jalapenos, put lids on and cover with butter sauce. Cover with aluminum foil and bake on 375° for 30 minutes.
  • Cool for 10 minutes before serving.
