Ice Cream from the Pantry

This ice cream is delicious and is made with shelf stable ingredients right from your pantry! SO even when funds are low you can have a delicious and refreshing sweet treat customized just the way you like it!

Ingredients and Variations

Ingredients: Dry milk powder, water, evaporated milk, shelf stable Whipping Cream (Trader Joes), granulated sugar, vanilla extract, Kosher salt and Unsweetened coco powder. I made mine into chocolate ice cream this day.

Variations: Dry heavy cream powder can be used in place of the Trader Joes whipping cream (just mix according to package directions for 1 1/2 cups and reduce your water by 1/2 cup), chocolate chips or candy can be added, freeze dried fruits can be added, cany oils and extract flavorings of different kinds can be added as well as toasted chopped nut and spices. Also jams, jellies, pie filling, peanut butter and marshmallow fluff are great in ice cream. Your favorite sugar substitute can replace the sugar if desired.
