Italian Style Citrus Chicken Thighs (Freezer Friendly)

These Italian Style Chicken Thighs are citrusy and delicious! The Citrus champagne vinegar really makes these amazing! These are very freezer friendly and make an excellent sheet pan dinner with some added veggies. Stock your freezer today!

Ingredients and Variations

Ingredients: Chicken thighs, olive oil, Garlic powder, onion powder, Citrus Champagne vinegar, Italian Seasoning, salt and pepper.

Variations: Fresh herbs and fresh garlic can be used in place of dry, Chicken legs or breast can be used, White wine vinegar and fresh lemon juice can replace the citrus champagne vinegar if needed, red pepper flakes or Calabrian chili, can be added if desired.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs

  • 1/4 cup citrus champagne vinegar

  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil or olive oil

  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning

  • 2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 2 tsp Kosher or sea salt

  • 1 tsp pepper

Directions

  • Put chicken into a freezer bag or container with cover.
  • Mix all other ingredients together for marinade and pour over chicken. remove air, label and freeze or refrogerate for at least 2 hours. Bake chicken at 375° for 20-30 minutes until juices run clear and inside temp of 175° is met. Cool for 5 – 10 minutes before eating.
  • To use from freezer: pull from freezer and place in refrigerator the day before to defrost. Grill, slow cook on high for 4 – 6 hours, air fry at 375° for 25 minutes or bake at 375° for 25- 30 minutes until juices run clear and the inside temp reaches 175°.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs and serve with veggies – chicken and veggies can be cooked on the same sheet pan for a simple easy sheet pan dinner.
