Yummy, warm you to the bone soup! I pop this in the slow cooker and let the house smell AMAZING all day long!!
1 Ham bone, preferabley with some meat left on
1 lb Lentils, sorted and rinsed well
1 Large onion, diced
4 Stalks celery, chopped
4 Medium carrots, diced
1 Bay leaf
1 1/2 Tsp onion powder
1 Tsp garlic powder
1 Tsp sweet paprika
1/2 Tsp fresh cracked black pepper
3 – 4 qts water or broth
4 Med – large potatoes, peeled and diced
Put everything into the slow cooker except potatoes, cook on high 4 hours.
After 4 hours, add potatoes and cook another 4 hours or until potatoes are tender and beans a cooked.
