Miso Glazed Chicken Thighs (Freezer Friendly)

These Miso Glazed Chicken Thighs are super delicious, very freezer friendly and can be grilled, baked, slow cooked or put in the air fryer! Lots of options friends!

Ingredients & Variations

Ingredients: Chicken thighs, white miso, oil, rice wine vinegar, soy sauce, honey, garlic powder, onion powder, ground ginger, Chinese Five Spice, salt and pepper

Variations: Chicken legs or breasts can be used, a sugar substitute can replace honey, some red pepper flakes can be added for a little spark of heat and Shaoxing wine can be used in place of rice wine vinegar if desired.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs

  • 1/4 cup oil

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

  • 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar

  • 2 tbsp white miso paste

  • 1 tbsp honey

  • 1 tbsp garlic powder

  • 1 tbsp ground ginger powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 2 tsp Chinese Five Spice

Directions

  • Place chicken into a freezer bag or container with lid.
  • Mix marinade in a bowl and pour over chicken, be sure to coat each piece of chicken well.
  • Remove air from bag, label and freeze for up to 6 months or refrigerate for at least 2 hours and grill or bake right away.
  • To use: remove from freezer and place in refrigerator a day before to defrost. Bake at 375° for 25 -30 minutes until done. (juices will run clear when done) inside temp of 175°. Rest for 5 – 10 minutes before eating.
  • Garnish with sliced green onions and enjoy!

Notes

  • Extra marinade can be made with a little cornstarch and cooked on the side to serve with rice.
