This is a classic I will always hold dear, my favorite among fudges! Chocolate and peanut butter, oh my! My grandma’s fudge recipe.
Nonny’s Old Fashioned Fudge

4 cupa granulated sugar
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 cups whole milk
4 tbsp light corn syrup
2 tbsp butter
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup chopped nut *optional
Directions
- Prepare a square 8×8 pan, line it with parchment paper and and butter it. Set aside until needed.
- n a large heavy bottom pot, add sugar, milk, cocoa and corn syrup, Set heat on medium-high, bring to a boli and cook to soft ball stage.
- Remove from heat and mix in butter, peanut butter, nuts (if adding) and vanilla.
- Pour into prepared pan quickly and leave to set. about two hours.
- When set, using the parchment paper, pull out of pan and cut into squares.
