This is the BEST apple butter!! Chop, drop & crock it overnight. Easy peasy!! You are gonna love this!

Ingredients
6 lbs Apples, Cored and wedged
1 cup Dark brown sugar
2 cups Granulated sugar
2 tsp Ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp Ground cloves
1/2 cup Apple cider vinegar
2 1/2 cups Apple juice or apple cider
Directions
- Toss it all in a slow cooker and cook overnight!
- The next day, put it all through a food mill and put it in a large stock pot.
*Note: You will have to peel them before putting them in the crockpot the day before if you will be using a blender, food processor, immersion blender or a potato masher (for chunky). Be careful, it will splatter! - Simmer on medium until you get to the desired consistency of “butter”.
- Wash jars, lids and bands in hot, soapy water. Filler water bath canner with water, add clean jars and bring u to a simmer. Simmer jars 20 minutes.
- Pour hot water over lids just before filling jars.
- Fill hot jars leaving 1/4 in headspace.
- Process half pints 15 minutes and pints 20 minutes.
