Buns….Knots… Whatever shape you want to make them, these are super delicious! They are ultra soft, garlicy and melt in your mouth!

Ingredients

  • Buns
  • 3/4 cup Warm water

  • 2 1/4 tsp (1 pkg) Instant yeast

  • 1/3 cup Granulated sugar

  • 4 – 5 cups Bread flour

  • 1 cup Mashed potatoes, plain, (instant or real)

  • 1/3 cup Milk powder

  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt

  • 1 tsp Garlic

  • 1 tsp Italian herbs

  • 6 tbsp Butter, melted

  • 2 Large eggs, room temp

  • Garlic & Herb Butter
  • 4 tbsp Butter, melted

  • 4 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp Garlic powder

  • 1/2 tap Dried Italian herbs

  • 1/4 tsp Salt

Directions

  • To warm water, add yeast and a tsp of sugar. Let set 10 minutes.
  • Mix all the ingredients together for the garlic & herb butter, set aside.
  • Using your dough hook attachment, add 4 cups of flour and the rest of the ingredients, mix until dough forms adding the last cup of flour a little at a time as needed until dough pulls away from side of bowl. Knead for 7 minutes.
  • Add dough to an oiled bowl, cover and let set in a warm place until dough has doubled in size, about 1 1/2 hours. (I use my oven with the light on)
  • Butter a 15 x 10 inch baking pan.
  • Roll dough into golf ball sized pieces and place into prepared pan 1/2 inch apart. Cover and let rest for 30 minutes.
  • Heat oven to 350°.
  • Bake at 350° for 25 minutes. Then brush on the garlic & herb butter, put back into the oven and bake 5 more minutes.
  • Cool for 5 minutes and use a fork to pull apart the rolls.

Notes

  • Sprinkle tops with parmesan cheese for a cheesy garlic bun!
