The taste of Autumn in your first bite! I have been making this bread every Autumn for almost 30 years now and still love this recipe!
Pumpkin Bread

Ingredients
3 1/2 cups All purpose flour
2 tsp Baking soda
1 tsp Salt
1 1/2 tsp Ground cinnamon
1 tsp Ground clove
1 tsp Fresh grated nutmeg
4 Large eggs, room temp
3 cups Granulated sugar
1 cup Oil
2 cups Pumpkin puree
2/3 cup Water
1 cup Nuts, chopped (I use pecans) * optional*
Directions
- Heat your oven to 350°
- Spray 2 loaf pans or grease and flour them if you prefer.
- Whisk dry ingredients together and set aside.
- Combine wet ingredients together, then add the dry. Mix until just combined. Do NOT over mix! Use a wooden spoon, not a mixer.
- Pour batter into prepared pans and bake @ 350° 55-60 minutes. Bread is done when toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool bread on wire rack.

- Serve this with orange sauce, orange marmalade, butter, citrus curd…..whatever you like, it’s your kitchen, man!
