Slow Cooker Apple Sauce Cake (Small Batch)

This Slow Cooker Apple Sauce Cake is so yummy, festive and easy to make! This small batch can be easily doubled if desired, this is a great recipe for small households.

Ingredients and Variations

Ingredients: Apple sauce, egg, butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar (I use dark), ground ginger, ground cinnamon, baking soda, ground cloves, vanilla extract and Kosher salt.

Variations: Diced fresh apple can be added as well as 1/4 cup toasted and chopped pecans or walnuts, 1/2 cup butterscotch chips are also yummy in this cake.

Ingredients

  • 1 large egg

  • 1/4 cup butter, room temp

  • 1/2 cup apple sauce

  • 1/8 tsp salt

  • 1 cup all purpose flour

  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger

  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 1/4 cup dark brown sugar

  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract

Directions

  • Mix wet ingredients together then add dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • Line crockpot with parchment paper, pour batter into crockpot, cover with paper towel and lid. Cook on high for 1 1/2 hours.
  • Note: The paper towel will catch condensation and stop it from leaking onto your cake!
  • Serve with a sprinkle of powdered sugar or top with a scoop of ice cream and caramel.
