Good with just about anything, this easy naan bread is super soft and delicious! Add some garlic, herbs and seasonings to make it yours! Eat with grilled meats, kabobs, hummos, dips, grilled vegetables, soup, sandwich filings, cold cuts, jams, jellies, fruits, any everyday food you like bread with.

Ingredients
1/2 cup Warm water
1 pkg (2 1/4 tsp) Instant yeast
1 tsp Granulated sugar
2 1/2 – 3 cups All purpose flour
5 tbsp Olive oil, divided
1 Large egg, room temp
1/2 cup Greek yogurt
1/2 tsp Salt
4 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil or butter, melted for topping
*Optional topping: fresh herbs & sea salt, garlic butter & herb, za’atar…
Directions
- In your mixing bowl, add yeast and sugar to warm water and let activate for 5 minutes.
- Add 2 1/2 cups of flour, 3 tablespoons olive oil, yogurt, egg and salt to yeast. Using dough hook mix together to form a dough, incorporating the last 1/2 cup flour as needed. Knead for 5 minutes. Form into a ball.
- Put 2 tablespoons olive oil into a large bowl, add dough and coat the entire thing with the oil in the bowl. Cover and let rise in a warm, draft free area for 1 1/2 hours or until doubled in size.
- Dump risen dough out onto a clean surface, cut it into 8 equal pieces. Roll each out into a 6 inch circle. Immediately put on to a hot, dry skillet (on medium heat), cook 2 – 3 minutes on each side being carful not to burn.
- As soon as you pull them off the pan, brush with melted butter or extra virgin olive oil and sprinkle with salt and fresh herbs if desired.
