BBQ Chicken Pizza

This pizza has been my “go to” since 1998! Great in the oven, in the air fryer and on the backyard grill!!

BBQ Chicken Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups Warm water

  • 2 1/4 tsp (1 pkg) Instant yeast

  • 1 tsp Sugar

  • 3 to 3 1/2 cups All purpose flour

  • 3/4 tsp Salt

  • 2 Tbsp EVOO

  • Toppings
  • 1/4 cup EVOO

  • 2 cloves Garlic

  • 1/2 Red onion, sliced

  • 2 Grilled chicken breasts sliced

  • 2 tbsp Fresh cilantro, chopped

  • 4 oz Smoked gouda cheese

  • 6 oz Fonitna cheese

  • 6 oz Mozarella cheese

  • 1/4 cup BBQ sauce

  • Salt & pepper to taste

Directions

  • Sprinkle yeast over warm water, sprinkle sugar over yeast. mix and let set 10 minutes.
  • Add 3 cups flour, salt and oil. Using dough hook mix on first speed and knead 6 minutes adding 1/2 cup more flour as needed 1/4 cup at a time.
  • Form into a ball, place into an oiled bowl, cover and let rise in a warm place 1 – 1/2 hours until doubled in size.
  • Split into two or three for smaller pizzas (for the grill or air fryer).

  • roll them out using a rolling pin or just press them out onto a pan.
  • Par bake 5 minutes @ 400 degrees f.
  • Mix EVOO, garlic, salt & pepper and brush onto crust.
  • sprinkle pizza with cheeses, onions and chicken.
  • Bake in the air fryer @ 400° 18 minutes.
  • When the pizza is out of the oven, top with a drizzle of bbq sauce and fresh cilantro. Change it up and add cooked bacon and ranch!
