Boiled Dinner Soup

The traditional boiled dinner in bite sized soup form, all the deliciousness you remember growing up!

Ingredients and Variations

Ingredients: Cabbage, yellow onion, carrots, Yukon gold potatoes, chicken broth.

Variations: Kale can be used instead of cabbage, white onions can be used, any potato is fine to use. Smoked sausage or kielbasa can be used, a can of Rotel added is also really good!

Ingredients

  • 1 1 small head cabbage, chopped

  • 1 1 large onion, chopped

  • 2 2 large carrots sliced

  • 2 cups 2 ham, diced

  • 4 cups 4 chicken broth

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 tsp 1 onion powder

  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 garlic powder

  • 1 tsp 1 dried parsley

  • 2 cups 2 potatoes, diced, gold or red are best

Directions

  • drop it all in a slow cooker except potatoes and cook 4 hours on high or 6 – 8 hours on low.
  • add potatoes half way through cooking time
