Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie

A new spin on an old favorite! This chocolate bourbon pecan pie is so good, you will never go back to plain pecan pie again! This chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie has a hint of bourbon and light chocolate, perfectly balanced with the pecans!

Ingredients and Variations

Ingredients: Granulated sugar, corn syrup, eggs, vanilla, bourbon, dark chocolate chips, pecans, all purpose flour and salt.

Variations: Coffee liqueur can be used in place of bourbon or any other spirit you desire. Walnuts can be changed out for pecans and any chocolate preferred can be used. Sugar substitute can be used instead f sugar, brown sugar can also be used.

The perfect pecan pie

    Ingredients

    • 1 1 9 inch unbacked pie crust

    • 4 4 large eggs

    • 1 cup 1 corn syrup

    • 1 cup 1 granulated sugar

    • 1 tbsp 1 all purpose flour

    • 1 tsp 1 Vanilla extract

    • 1/4 tsp 1/4 kosher salt

    • 1/4 cup 1/4 butter, melted

    • 1/4 cup 1/4 good bourbon or other spirit

    • 1/2 cup 1/2 dark chocolate chips

    • 2 cups 2 pecans, halves or chopped

    Directions

    • heat oven to 350°
    • Whisk together eggs, flour, sugar, corn syrup vanilla, melted butter and bourbon. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans, pour into unbaked pie crust.
    • Bake at 350° for 1 hour. cover crust with foil if it gets too dark before pie is done.
    • Cool completely before serving. To serve: Top with whipped cream or ice cream if desired.
