Grammy Pammy’s Old Fashioned Roll Out Sugar Cookies

These cookies are pillowy soft, tender, fluffy and the absolute BEST sugar cookie I have ever eaten! It is my mom’s holiday cookie recipe I grew up eating. You are going to love these and I challenge you to only eat one! lol!

3 Cups all purpose flour

1 Tsp baking soda

1/2 Tsp salt

1 Tsp cream of tarter

1 Cup granulated sugar

2 Large eggs

3 Tbsp milk

2 Tsp vanilla extract

1 1/2 Cup butter, unslated and room temp

Whisk together flour, baking soda, salt and cream of tarter. Set aside.

Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Incorporate eggs and vanilla and beat 2 minutes.

Add dry ingredients to wet and add milk. Mix just until it forms a dough.

cover with plastic wrap and form disc. Refrigerate 2 hours.

Heat oven to 350 degrees f.

Rool out dough to 1/4 to 1/2 inch thickness, cut cookies, transfer to parchment paper lined cookie sheet and bake 8 – 10 minutes until edges turn golden brown.

Cool on wire racks.

Frost or ice, your choice! I prefer fluffing frosting and sprinkles myself!
