Slow Cooker Asian Chicken Thighs Freezer Meal

My slow cooker Asian chicken thighs are super delicious and make a wonderful freezer meal! Serve with some rice and some steamed vegetables and you have the perfect meal. The chicken thighs stay moist and the sauce is to die for! You are gonna want these meals in your freezer ready to go. They can also be popped right into your Instant pot from frozen state.

Ingredients and Variations

Ingredients: Chicken thighs, soy sauce, fresh ginger, fresh garlic, ground ginger, garlic powder, ketchup, brown sugar, onion powder, salt, honey cayenne pepper, water, white vinegar and Sriracha.

Variations: Sub out the thighs for chicken breast if you like. Use all honey instead of brown sugar or use your favorite sugar substitute all together. Add some sesame oil if you like. Add in some red pepper flakes if like some heat!

Asian style chicken with honey and garlic freezer meal.

Ingredients

  • 6 6 chicken thighs

  • 1/3 cup 1/3 soy sauce

  • 1/4 cup 1/4 water

  • 2 tbsp 2 ketchup

  • 3 cloves 3 garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp 1 fresh grated ginger

  • 1 tsp 1 sriracha

  • 2 tbsp 2 brown sugar

  • 2 tbsp 2 honey

  • 1 tbsp 1 white wine vinegar

  • 1/4 tsp 1/4 cayenne pepper

  • 1 tsp 1 onion powder

  • 1 tsp 1 ground ginger

  • 1 tsp 1 garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 salt

Directions

  • Put chicken thighs into a gallon sized leak proof freezer bag.
  • Whisk together all ingredients and pour over chicken.
  • Freeze for up to 6 months.
  • To Cook: Thaw in refrigerator overnight and put into the slow cooker the next day 6 hours on low. or put into IP frozen for 45 minutes.
