Potted Cheese Spread

This Potted Cheese Spread is versatile and delicious! Serve it and gift some!

Ingredients and Variations

Ingredients: Extra sharp cheddar, Garlic, butter, onion powder, salt, cayenne pepper, mustard and beer.

Variations: Any cheese can be used, beer or wine of your choice can be used. Use seasonings you like.

Swiss cheese with white wine and almonds.

White cheddar with port wine, pecans and dried cranberries. (leave out the garlic)

Cheddar with 2 tablespoons of prepared horseradish added to the basic recipe.

Mild cheddar cheese with liquid smoke, bacon bits and dark beer.

Add nuts, seasonings, beer/wine and cheeses of your choice using the formulas below.

A cheese spread that tastes like fondue!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Extra sharp cheddar cheese, shredded and room temp

  • 2 tbsp butter, room temp or mayo

  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard, prepared

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1/4 tsp salt or salt to taste

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1/2 cup beer (any you like)

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Directions

  • Add cheese butter, mustard, Worcestershire sauce and seasonings to a food processor, start blending and add beer to cheese in a steady stream while blending, until, cheese spread id together and smooth. Put into small crocks of jars and store in refrigerator for up to 4 weeks.
  • Serve with bread and crackers.
  • Give away as gifts!
