These potato rolls are so easy and will melt in your mouth! This are sure to be your new “Go To” recipe for dinner rolls
Classic Potato Rolls

3/4 cup Warm water
2 1/4 tsp (1pkg) Instant yeast
1/3 cup Granulated sugar, divided
1 cup Mashed potatoes, real or instant
4 – 5 cups Bread flour
2 tsp Salt
1/3 cup Dry milk powder
6 tbsp Butter, melted
2 Large eggs, room temp
Directions
- To warm water, add yeast and a tsp of sugar. Let set 10 minutes.
- Using your dough hook attachment, add 4 cups of flour and the rest of the ingredients, mix until dough forms adding the last cup of flour a little at a time as needed until dough pulls away from side of bowl. Knead for 7 minutes.
- Add dough to an oiled bowl, cover and let set in a warm place until dough has doubled in size, about 1 1/2 hours. (I use my oven with the light on)
- Butter a 15 x 10 inch baking pan.
- Roll dough into golf ball sized pieces and place into prepared pan 1/2 inch apart. Cover and let rest for 30 minutes.
- Heat oven to 350°.
- Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.
- Lightly brush tops with melted butter. Cool for 5 minutes and use a fork to pull apart the rolls.
This was the same recipe my mother used for about 20+ years… she would make dozens at at time for the Senior Center & Potlucks… everyone loved them and they were the first foods disappearing..
