This Russian Tea Mix is delicious and NOT made with Tang, It’s a sweet seasoning mix you add with a tea bag and orange wheel and make the most delicious tea!!
You need only add a teasppon of this mix to your favorite cu of hot tea and a fresh or dried orange wheel. Enjoy your real tea!
Ingredients and Variations
Ingredients: granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, ground cloves, ground nutmeg, lemon powder and a pinch of salt.
Variations: a sugar substitute can be used in place of sugar for a sugar-free tea, cardamom can be added if desired, orange powder can also be added instead of using and orange wheel.
Ingredients
1/2 cup 1/2 granulated sugar
2 tsp 2 ground cinnamon
1 tsp 1 ground cloves
1 tsp 1 lemon powder
1/2 tsp 1/2 ground nutmeg
a pinch a salt
Directions
- Mix all together and store in an airtight jar.
- Mix will stay good for a year if kept airtight.
- To Use: add a teaspoon to a cup of hot tea along with a fresh or dried orange wheel.
- To give as a gift – give tea bags and dried orange wheels with mix (one for each teaspoon you give)
